Crime has become the most important globalized business in the world. Operating according to the rules of the market economy, criminal business has managed to overcome physical and cultural borders to become a powerful and increasingly integrated operator. As a specialized system crime is undergoing a process of rapid hybridization, integrating a terrorist dimension as it is losing its connection to any particular territory and as the line between “political” action and criminal corruption is rapidly changing.
