Pierre DELVOLVÉ - The Privatization of the Civil Service
Pouvoirs n°117 - Serviteurs de l’État - avril 2006 - p.107-120
The privatization of the civil service refers to the attribution of a private
law status to agents who work directly or indirectly for the state. It
could lead to a transformation of the service itself that could be performed
by a private enterprise or could be managed according to commercial
or industrial rules. It could be envisaged even for civil servants
who directly perform certain administrative functions. There are
already some contradictory solutions, and the privatisation of civil servants
should be prudent and limited.
